"Unpresidential": Trump and Biden clash in French video game

Unpresidential game

The French design studio 3D Bright launched Wednesday “Unpresidential”, a new game for smartphones where candidates Donald Trump and Joe Biden compete on the lawn of the White House.

In this mini fighting video game, the two Democratic and Republican candidates can face each other physically by throwing punches or heads.

But they can also deliver more original blows, such as "fake news attacks or bursts of tweets for Trump, bromance with Obama and coronavirus for Biden," French magazine "L'Obs" reported.

An inspiration drawn straight from the attacks that the presidential candidates were able to exchange during the debates.

“This way of communicating in excess and permanent attack, as we saw during the Trump / Biden debate, lends itself particularly well to the mechanics of a fighting game. Politics is a real combat sport, ”Abdel Bounane, president of 3D Bright studio, said in an interview with“ L'Obs ”.

In its presentation video, the 3D studio Bright specified that the game contains nearly 90 lines, including ten specific to each character.

“More than just a schoolboy fighting game, we wanted to make a game with substance, with a message - clearly anti-Trump,” Mr. Bounane told the French magazine.

The mini video game has been available since Wednesday, October 21 on Google's Android platform and will be available for download on October 31 on Apple devices.
