The mysterious holiday monolith!
A mysterious monolith was spotted in a park in San Francisco on Friday morning, and as a matter of fact, it was Christmas-themed.
A passer-by discovered the structure on a trail in Corona Heights Park. It was entirely built in... gingerbread!
The man surprised a reckless gourmand who left his "trace" there in the middle of a COVID-19 pandemic.
"The gingerbread monolith is so real. I even watched someone lick it, and then I began to say a prayer for it. On that note, happy monolith," wrote Josh Ackerman on his Twitter account, attaching a few shots of the unusual object.
In fact, this new monolith was really just a giant holiday cookie. Several colorful cubes adorned the structure, whose sides were frosted with sugar.
The tower was inspired by the mysterious metal monoliths that made headlines when they appeared all over the world. From Utah to Romania, then to Montreal.
