TEL AVIV: Israeli officials said, on Thursday, that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to visit the Emirates and Bahrain in February.
The “Walla” news site (exclusive) quoted officials who preferred not to be named as saying that “Netanyahu's visit to the UAE and Bahrain is expected to take place between February 9 and 11, but it may be postponed again if the (health) closure is extended in Israel. “.
The Walla news site is interested in providing positive news coverage for Netanyahu and his family, and is owned by the former general manager of the Israeli telecommunications company Bezeq, Shaul Alovitch.
For nearly two weeks, Israel has witnessed an almost total closure, in response to the Corona virus.
Netanyahu will hold political meetings in Abu Dhabi and economic in Dubai, and then head to Manama, officials said.
And if the visit takes place on the specified date, it will be Netanyahu's first public visit to these two countries.
In 2020, 4 Arab countries signed normalization agreements with the Israeli occupation entity, namely the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco.
And from those Arab countries, Jordan and Egypt are bound by two peace agreements with "Israel", since 1994 and 1979, respectively.
