Elon Musk sets the Dogecoin on fire!

After participating in a small Bitcoin outbreak, billionaire Elon Musk has just pushed via Twitter another cryptomony, the Dogecoin. A currency that is not new, since it was created in 2013, but which has seen its share price jump by almost 50% in one day.

The famous businessman is known for his laconic tweets in which he puts forward his opinion and his tastes of the moment. And in the last few days, Elon Musk has been taking a close interest in the subject of cryptomoney. The boss of SpaceX and co-founder of Tesla tweeted this Thursday, January 4th about the Dogecoin and the market is now looking at this cryptomony with a different eye.

If it is unknown to the general public, it should be noted that the Dogecoin is one of the most popular crypto in recent years. Started as a "joke" in 2013 by its creators Billy Marks and Jackson Palmer who didn't really take themselves seriously, Dogecoin has nevertheless always been used by a close-knit community. It was recently brought to light by WallStreetBets smokers on Reddit (known to have blown up GameStop's shares and folded a US investment fund).

Last week, the price of Dogecoin jumped by 800%, while cryptomony continues its ascent at the beginning of the year. It is currently at its highest level since its creation and is currently trading at 0.04 cents per Dogecoin (according to its price at 11:30 am on February 4). On Reddit, this cryptomonnaie even benefits from a large community, counting on the more than 781,000 members of its dedicated forum. 

On his side, Elon Musk is starting to make rain and shine on the cryptomoney market. The billionaire has also expressed himself on Clubhouse, the new social network in fashion in the United States. During an audio chat relayed by Forbes, he recalled that "Bitcoin is on the verge of making a breakthrough in traditional finance". Above all, the man expressed his sympathy for Dogecoin: "From time to time, I make jokes about Dogecoin, but they are really meant to be jokes. Dogecoin was created as a joke to make fun of crypto, but fate loves irony ... The most amusing result would be that Dogecoin will become the currency of the earth in the future".
