Mitchell Trubisky will continue his career with the Buffalo Bills

Once considered the Chicago Bears' quarterback of the future, Mitchell Trubisky will now continue his career with the Buffalo Bills as an assistant to Josh Allen.

Selected second overall by the Bears in the 2017 draft, Trubisky signed a new one-season deal with the Bills on Thursday. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The 26-year-old Trubisky played the first four campaigns of his NFL career with the Bears, appearing in 51 games, including 10 last season. In Chicago, veteran Nick Foles remains with the team, while the Bears announced the hiring of Andy Dalton earlier this week.

Elsewhere in the NFL, running back Kenyan Drake is reportedly joining the Las Vegas Raiders. According to ESPN, Drake has reached an agreement with the team for the next two seasons. The running back was with the Arizona Cardinals in 2020.
