Netanyahu: 4 more peace agreements are on the way
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, Tuesday, that four countries would sign "peace agreements" with Israel .
But Netanyahu, who was speaking to the website of the Israeli newspaper "Yediot Aharonot", did not disclose the names of these countries.
Netanyahu's statement came on the eve of the Israeli general elections, which will be held next week.
"I have brought peace in exchange for peace," Netanyahu said, referring to agreements to normalize relations with the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco, referring to his rejection of the "land for peace" principle advocated by the Arab Peace Initiative, which was adopted by the Arab countries in 2002.
"There are 4 other peace agreements on the way," he added.
Netanyahu said he could still run the government, despite the court looking into files against him on corruption charges.
"I can manage the country's affairs during the court," he said.
On March 23, the fourth Israeli elections will be held in two years.
