An operation that should gather many participants around the world and from which the state is expected to make a profit of 26 million euros.
Following numerous seizures by Agrasc (the Agency for the Management and Recovery of Seized and Confiscated Assets) the state will organize the public auction of nearly 610 bitcoins on Wednesday, March 17, through the Kapandji Morhange auction house in Paris. The sale, for a total estimated value of between €25 and €30 million, at the current price of the cryptocurrency, will also be available to watch online.
To be able to participate, one must register before March 13 at midnight by returning all the requested documents to the interencheres.com website. You must also have the necessary deposit of 1,500 euros for the first tranche on sale and 10,000 euros for the second tranche.
Estimated sale based on the value of bitcoin on the day
This atypical event is expected to attract many investors from around the world. The auction will run all day, starting with the smallest units. Initially, it will be the bidding of 437 lots from 0.11 to 2 bitcoins at 9 am. Then will follow the other lots at 2 pm with 42 lots of 5 to 20 bitcoins.
