Fatal accident with a Tesla
Two men died in Texas in a crash involving a Tesla in which there was apparently no one behind the wheel, the Wall Street Journal and local TV station KPRC 2 reported Sunday.

The vehicle was speeding when it crashed into a tree Saturday night and burst into flames, according to the media. Authorities found only two individuals, one in the passenger seat and one in the backseat.
"The initial findings of the investigation, which is not yet complete, show that there was no one behind the wheel of the vehicle," Harris County police official Mark Herman told The Wall Street Journal.
They had not yet determined Sunday whether the driver's seat airbag had deployed and whether the vehicle's driver assistance system was engaged at the time of the collision.
On its website, Tesla warns that the driver assistance systems they offer do not make the vehicle autonomous and that active supervision by a driver is still required.
But videos regularly show Tesla with drivers asleep or without their hands on the wheel for extended periods of time.
