Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian star, won the Standard Chartered Award as the best player in Liverpool this season after he got the most votes in a referendum on the club's website.
Fabinho, the Brazilian midfielder, came second behind Salah and third was defender Nathaniel Phillips.
Salah scored 31 goals and sent 6 assists in 51 matches in all competitions in a season that ended Liverpool third in the Premier League standings.
Salah, 28, told Liverpool's website: "I am happy with the award, especially as it was voted by the fans. Winning our last matches and qualifying for the Champions League was the most important thing."
And he continued, "I think I played well in the season, but it is not about me, but the team as a whole. As a team, if the fans were with us on the field, and we played as we should we would have done better. We suffered a lot in the season because of the absence of the fans."
"Happy that we played our last game of the season in the presence of the crowd. It was great to see them return to the field. The most important thing of the season was Alison Becker's goal (against West Bromwich Albion), I can't say more than that. It was an incredible goal. Like I said it is all about. "With the team and how we celebrated the goal. I didn't think, I jumped to celebrate. It was a moment when I felt we were going to play in the Champions League."
"The last ball in the match, it was an extraordinary moment and I was very happy for him. It was a great header, unexpected. Unreasonable. He did a great job and grabbed the game points for us," he added.
"I thank the audience for voting for me. Very proud of that, and I'll see you soon," he said.
Salah scored 22 goals in the league and was close to winning the Golden Boot, but Tottenham striker Harry Kane snatched the prize after scoring his 23rd goal in the last round.
Liverpool did not offer an exceptional season, losing the league to Manchester City, leaving early from the FA Cup and the English League Cup and depositing the Champions League against Real Madrid in the quarter-finals.
